Get Outside in Seattle

Image From image.1223
Seattle is a beautiful city.  From out mountains to out beautiful ocean, we love to be outside and enjoy all of Seattle’s nature.  There are many ways to enjoy Seattle on a sunny afternoon. Trails, parks, and festivals are just some of the ways to breathe the fresh air this summer. Learn more about how you can get out and enjoy Seattle on a day trip from Aspira Apartments

This trail is a perfect way to see the parks and the sea-bound nature of Seattle. This trail goes through the city and nature parks that Seattle is known for.  You will be able to see the local restaurants and sites that many overlook in their daily commutes throughout the city.  This trail is a great benefit to riders thanks to the city’s 2006 implementation of the Bicycle Master Plan.

Do not worry this trail is not just for the professional rider. It is also for the resident that just wants a nice stroll through some of the most beautiful spots in our city.  It is a 27 mile trail in the King County Regional Trail System. It is most commonly referred to as “The Burke”. This weekend take a few hours and ride parts of the trail.  It is great for exercise and to see parts of Seattle that you may not know.

Biking outdoors may not be your favorite thing to do. However, there are plenty of other activities that you can participate in throughout Seattle.  Seattle parks are not your typical city park with structured playgrounds and fake nature.  Seattle has wild parks that include old growth forests, interchanging ecosystems, and on occasion some animals.

One of the most famous parks is Discovery Park that was created in 1973. It was created on the grounds of an old military installation. This park guards miles of the Puget Sound coastline.  It includes everything from forests, meadows, and coastline. You can see over 200 bird species as you explore this famous North American park.

These are just some of the ways to get out and explore Seattle this weekend. What is your favorite way to explore our beautiful coastline?
